FilteredTubeVideo

How it works

What FilteredTube Deliberately Does Not Do

The features we refused on purpose: feeds, autoplay rabbit holes, engagement mechanics, unreviewed fallbacks, and download shortcuts.

Refused: the attention machinery

FilteredTube has no trending feed, no algorithmic recommendations engineered for watch time, no autoplay countdown into the next video, no infinite scroll. These are the standard growth tools of the video industry, and each was refused for the same reason: they are machines for defeating intention, and this product exists to serve intention.

The absence is structural, not cosmetic. There is no setting that turns a feed on, because a boundary product with an engagement engine inside it is a contradiction that eventually resolves against the boundary.

Refused: the convenient compromises

No unreviewed fallback when checks cannot complete - the screen would rather be honestly empty. No 'show anyway with a warning' for gray material - a warning is a fig leaf, not a boundary. No downloading of outside platform content regardless of demand - the rights line stays where it is. No selling of viewing data - the analytics that exist serve product improvement, nothing else.

Products are defined as much by their refusals as by their features. Ours are listed here in writing so you can hold us to them.

Key takeaways

  • No feeds, no autoplay chains, no engagement engineering - structurally.
  • No unreviewed fallbacks and no warning-label compromises.
  • Refusals in writing are commitments you can enforce.
