Rabbi Yaakov Kamenetzky zt"l (1891–1986) was among the foremost gedolei Torah of American Jewry. Born in Lithuania and educated in the great mussar yeshiva of Slabodka, he brought the depth of the European Torah world to America and helped rebuild Torah life there in the decades after the war.
