The founder of Ner Yisroel
Rav Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman zt"l was the founding Rosh Yeshiva of Ner Yisroel — the Ner Israel Rabbinical College — in Baltimore, which he established in the 1930s and led for over half a century.
